Edward St. John Student Life Center at McDonogh School Opens to Students

The brand new Edward A. St. John Student Life Center at McDonogh School in Owings Mills, Maryland, is the core of the school’s “Campus Green” project. James Posey Associates worked with Bowie Gridley Architects to design the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for the new three-story, 39,000 square foot building that houses two dining halls, one dedicated to seniors; two full-service kitchens, a large lecture hall, nurse’s station, dance and art studios, and infirmary. The Georgian-style building is located at the southern end of the new Campus Green and frames the edge of the open area with 2-stories visible on the Quad and a 3rd lower level at the new entry and drop off area to the south. Dedication of the impressive new hall was held in the spring of 2014 and students are now fully enjoying its amenities.
