JPA contributes to advances in STEM education at Cecil College

A recent growth spurt in Cecil College’s STEM programs called for a new three-story 24,500 square foot facility equipped with engineering/physics and math laboratories, tutoring & testing center, and group study areas. Partnering with Marshall Craft Associates, Inc., James Posey Associates designed the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for the building, which is now pursuingUSGBC LEED Silver certification. The use of a high-efficiency magnetic bearing centrifugal chiller and a rainwater harvesting system are two of the key energy-efficient solutions included in this project.
