NIH Building 4 exceeds with LEED Silver Certification

In October 2012, it was announced that this modernization project in NIH Research Building 4 had exceeded initial LEED certification goals, and received a LEED Silver certification. James Posey Associates’ design features incorporated into the 75,000 square-foot renovated building included conversion of the original dual-duct air system into a modern single duct air handling system. Other project features include the creation of a process chilled water system, updates to the building’s electrical infrastructure renovation, and new laboratory plumbing fixtures.
