Parkville High School gets new life

Parkville High School is enjoying a new addition and partial renovation to its existing facility that will extend the use of this Baltimore County School for another 30-50 years. The 281,530 square-foot building now includes a renovated auditorium addition, as well as updated science and art classrooms and Career and Technology Education support systems. In collaboration with architectSmolen, Emr, Ilkovitch & Associates, James Posey Associates designed new mechanical systems that deliver improved space temperature and humidity control, while providing a high level of overall energy efficiency. Other enhancements include updates to the school’s interior and exterior lighting systems, and a new sprinkler system throughout the facility.
