Dolphin Building

Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) replaced the existing 3-story Dolphin Building with a new, 5-story, 26,500-SF building at the corner of Dolphin Street and Mt. Royal Avenue, in the heart MICA’s Baltimore city campus. JPA provided MEP/FP engineering design for the new $8.1M building, which serves as the center for the Institute’s 3-D interactive art and product design. Primarily hosting open spaces with concrete floors and no ceilings, the building’s program features individual spaces, including classrooms, computer and fabrication labs, offices, and service areas.
