Pinkard Building Renovation & Addition

At Johns Hopkins University, JPA provided MEP/FP design and construction administration services for this $45M, six-story renovation and addition project, including systems for HVAC and plumbing, DDC control, fire protection, lighting and lighting control, power distribution, pathways for low voltage, and communications. Incorporating BIM, sustainable design principles, and an IgCC compliance path to satisfy Baltimore City’s green building standards, the scope included demolition of the existing School of Nursing House; construction of a 41,000-SF addition to the Pinkard Building; full renovation of more than 30,000-SF of academic, office, lab, and support spaces; limited renovation of an additional 67,000-SF; conversion of nearly 1,000-SF; and additional minor renovations.
