Retriever Athletic Center Renewal

JPA provided MEP engineering for this $18.4M project, including $10M in infrastructure replacement and upgrades and selective building reprogramming, for UMBC’s 137,000-SF Retriever Athletic Center. Spaces include an arena, gymnasium addition, natatorium, Sondheim Hall, administration spaces, and utility and storage spaces. JPA provided design and construction administration for new air handling units; high-temperature hot water heat exchangers; heating/chilled water piping; a building automation system; electrical service, switchgear, panels, and associated distribution; lighting; fire alarm systems; and fire suppression system modifications.
