FP 1401 K, LLC : Washington, DC

Modernization of the Art Deco Tower Building at 1401 K Street in Washington DC, created sustainable Class-A office space with distinctive shared amenities, enhancing the building’s historic character and maintaining its iconic presence with minimal disruption to existing tenants. Originally constructed between 1928 and 1929, the Tower Building is an early example of DC Art Deco, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the DC Inventory of Historic Sites. JPA’s study, design, and construction program and scope involved exterior restoration, renovation of common core areas, modernization of MEP and life safety systems; and new conference center, rooftop terrace, fitness center, bike room, graphics and signage.
