Five Arts and Student Center

St. Timothy’s School is a private boarding and day school for girls in grades 9-12. This $11.7M project included renovation and expansion of the 18,800-SF Hannah More Art Center. Renamed the “Five Arts and Student Center,” the resulting 28,225-SF building was expanded from two to three stories and houses the school’s literature, theater, dance, visual arts, and music programs. Other notable project improvements included a refurbished 320-seat theater, a full-service health and wellness center, additional classroom space for the English Department, and an expanded 1,000-SF art gallery. The courtyard located between the center and the existing dining facility was redesigned with new ornamental trees, benches, pavers, and site lighting. New MEP systems and site infrastructure were provided as well to accommodate the renovation and expansion. Sprinkler coverage was added throughout, with a new site water service supporting the added sprinkler system components. JPA worked directly for St. Timothy’s School during construction to functional test and commission the new MEP systems.
