Beach Elementary School
Calvert County Public Schools: Chesapeake Beach, MD
JPA provided MEP/FP design and construction administration services for this new $28.5M, 67,500-SF school that can accommodate up to 578 students. The project included HVAC, plumbing/piping, interior/exterior and site lighting/controls, electrical distribution and gas service, solar-ready provisions for electrical/structural systems, energy modeling, kitchen systems design coordination, technology design/coordination, LEED Silver certification, and building modeling. The new elementary school was built on the same site as the original 65-year-old school, which remained operational through construction.
