McCormick Headquarters Adaptive Reuse
McCormick & Company : Hunt Valley, MD
JPA provided full-service MEP/FP infrastructure design for the $170M re-purposing of this 330,000-SF office building to accommodate showrooms, offices, and the international headquarters for this 130-year-old Baltimore firm. The core and shell renovation work included a complete facade and building core replacement, a large- scale atrium, green roof construction, landscaping and other site improvements, new surface and subgrade parking, split employee and guest entrances, a new mechanical plant, and conversion of the existing mechanical penthouse into executive suites. Other building amenities included an all-hands cafeteria, a conference center, kitchens, and merchandising labs. The project achieved LEED Gold certification.
