Two JPA Engineers earn Professional Registrations

Justin Bem, Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager, recently earned his Professional Engineer licensure for the State of Maryland. Mr. Bem graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering, and went on to earn his Masters of Science, also in Architectural Engineering from PSU, in 2008. He joined James Posey Associates in January 2009. Mr. Bem is instrumental in handling the firm’s numerous education projects, including public and private K-12 as well as higher education facilities: he recently completed the MICA Graduate Studio Center and Johns Hopkins University Malone Hall. Mr. Bem also contributes to arts and cultural projects, such as the newly opened Everyman Theatre, and to government projects in his work with the Library of Congress.

Ben Meister, Electrical Engineer, also recently earned his Professional Engineer licensure for the State of Maryland. Mr. Meister joined James Posey Associates in April 2008. He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering before earning his EIT in Electrical Engineering in 2009. Mr. Meister concentrates his talents mainly on the firm’s government projects, which includes work for the Architect of the Capitol, Library of Congress, and the Naval Research Lab. Recently he completed work on Phase One of the Cannon House Office Building Renovations. He also contributes to the firm’s many higher education projects throughout the state.
